The Rivers State government has approved a minimum wage of eighty-five thousand naira for civil servants.
The head of civil service, George Nwaeke, announced this after a meeting between Governor Fubara and labour leaders in the state.
This is coming a about two days that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also approved the same amount for the civil servants.
No fewer than 16 states have announced between 75 and 85 since the National Minimum Wage became a law.
