Flooding: Seyi And Yinka Tinubu Donate Over ₦500 Million, Foodstuff to Maiduguri Victims

Seyi and Yinka Tinubu, sons of President Bola Tinubu, have made a significant donation of over ₦500 million and foodstuff to assist victims of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno State. The brothers and a group of close associates, visited the state to provide much-needed relief to those affected by the devastating floods.

During his visit, Seyi expressed his deep concern for the people of Borno, acknowledging the challenges they have faced over the years, from insurgency to natural disasters. He emphasized that his contribution is part of his ongoing commitment to supporting the youth and vulnerable populations in the country, particularly in times of crisis.

“This is just the beginning. We will continue to stand with the people of Borno and provide support as they recover from this disaster,” Seyi said during the event. He commended the resilience of the people of Maiduguri, expressing confidence that the state will overcome this challenge and emerge stronger.

The donation included essential food items, medical supplies, and household necessities aimed at providing immediate relief to those displaced or impacted by the floods. Specifically, the relief materials provided by Seyi Tinubu included:

Food Items: Rice, maize, flour, cartons of spaghetti, tomato paste, groundnut oil, salt, Maggi, and thousands of loaves of bread.
Medical Supplies: Medications for nearly 50,000 children and adults, including anti-malarials, antibiotics, anti-diabetics, analgesics, anti-hypertensives, and antiparasitics.
Household Necessities: 10,000 pieces of mosquito nets, blankets, mattresses, kettles, wrappers, buckets, mats, sanitary pads, and wash kits.

Several notable individuals who accompanied Seyi on his humanitarian mission, including transport and logistics expert Mr. Chidi and renowned aviator Isaac Balami, commended his initiative. They highlighted his empathy and ongoing commitment to youth empowerment, as well as his dedication to helping vulnerable communities across Nigeria.

Seyi’s visit and donation have been widely praised as a symbol of unity and hope, reinforcing his efforts to support the nation’s most vulnerable citizens during challenging times.
