The Vice President of Nigeria, VP Kashim Shettima says advanced commercialization and industrialization at sub-national levels is essential to complement various Initiative by the federal government aimed at reforming the nation’s economy.
The VP noted that the nation is blessed with human and natural resources needed to attract investments, urged other states to replicate similar transformative industrial revolution like Osun state.
The Vice President, represented by his special adviser on economic matters, Tope Fasua, made this statement while declaring open Osun state industrial investment summit held in Osogbo with the theme ” Connecting progress with purpose”.
Governor Adeleke represented by his deputy expressed optimism that the summit will engender emergence of agro-industrialization as he listed factors that will enable investment to thrive in the state.
Goodwill message was delivered by the Israeli ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, said Israeli is disposed to partnership with Osun state and Nigeria at large, for transformative initiatives particularly on technology-driven agriculture and digital economy.
