Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho jand Udinese goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye joined the Super Eagles camp on Wednesday, bringing the number of players in camp to twenty-two ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in September 2024.
The arrival of Iheanacho and Okoye provide interim manager Austin Eguavoen with additional tactical flexibility as he prepares the team for the matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Nigeria will kick off their quest for a spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco by facing Republic of Benin at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday, September 7, followed by a match against Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, September 10.
