2024 Miss Universe Nigeria: Judge Speaks on How Winners Emerged
One of the judges at the just concluded 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria, Dr. Calvin Bonds has said that winning a pageant crown goes beyond beauty.
He said this while appearing on Silverbird Today, adding that the idea of pageantry also has to do about knowing the background of the contestants.
“It’s about empowerment, it’s about reaching out to others who are poor,” he said.
Bonds’ assertion answers the question about the emergence of Dania Ufa, with her extra size stature as one of the winners.
Even though, Ufa is beautiful, her intelligence, charisma also excelled her in the contest.
He explained that it’s a privilege working with them and that he was able to teach them how to answer questions in interviews.
Bonds whom himself has four academic degrees said that he was able to use his skills to bring out the best from all the contestants and the eventual winners.
Beside, winner of Miss Universe, Chidimma Adetshina, other winners include Ufa Dania, Miss Kwara who won Miss Charismatic; Olamide Ayegbidun, the second runner-up, (Miss Lush), the first runner-up, Paula Ezendu, who is Miss Supranational Nigeria.
