Certified international Coach, Benson Koleola Akinboni Osebaba has empowered Ondo State girls through the beautiful round leather game, with the discovery of young female talents from his just concluded Ondo Womens’ Football Competition tagged: Osebaba Cup 2024, which was held on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 August, at the Adeyemi Federal University of Education Sports Complex in Ondo State, Nigeria.
   
The CEO of Makinz Sports Promotions Ltd and Makinz Football Club located in Abuja, is a community sports developer who has been discovering young footballers over the years through various sports programs.
His zeal to do more and make more impact, birthed the discovery of young potential female footballers in Ondo Kingdom; ie the Ondo Womens’ Football Competition, well known as Osebaba Cup, which has been a success since it’s inception in 2023, when the first edition was held.
   
With so much passion and enthusiasm to add value to humanity, international coach Benson has surpassed the feat achieved in 2023, where three promising young female footballers were discovered, selected and taken to clubs in the Nigeria Women Football League and are currently preparing to go to Europe.
   
This year 2024, three young outstanding girls and ten others were selected at the end of the competition. Interestingly, Osebaba has met with the parents and coaches of the selected girls to educate them with the necessary information they need to know, while they embark on their newly found football career.
   
While making comments on his achievements in one of his posts on social media, Osebaba said,
” I met with both the parents and coaches of the selected girls at the just-concluded Ondo State Women’s Football Competition, named OSEBABA CUP, in Ondo Kingdom, Ondo State.
The aim was to equip all parties with the necessary information regarding our plans for the selected girls. I did this in 2023, and I will do it again this year by the grace of Almighty God.
Ten (10) girls were selected and would be taken to the Nigerian Premier League, Europe, Asia, and the UAE.
