South African model, Miss Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, a contestant at the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 has met the National Director of Miss Universe, Guy Murray-Bruce at the Silverbird Galleria, Lagos on Wednesday, 21 August, 2024.
Miss Adetshina met Mr. Guy-Murray Bruce at the management office after accepting and honouring the invitation she was given by the Silverbird Group through to come and participate in the 2024 edition of Miss Universe Nigeria to contest.
Adetshina who is currently contesting as Miss Taraba in the prestigious beauty pageant has shown her readiness to contest and win the crown.
During her visit she met with the National Director of Miss Universe, Guy Murray-Bruce, the Brand Manager of Silverbird Group and other management staff.
Adetshina’s interest to contest in the 2024 edition of Miss Universe Nigeria comes after she accepted an invitation which was extended to her by organisers of the pageant to participate in the pageant.
Prior to the invitation, Ms Adetshina who was born in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a Mozambique mother contested for recently concluded Miss South Africa 2024 but was withdrawn from the competition amidst controversies surrounding her South African citizenship claims and Nigerian heritage.
After her withdrawal went viral, which also prompted her to quit from the competition, the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant made a historic decision by officially inviting Ms Adetshina to participate in the upcoming Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 competition.
Interestingly, she accepted and honoured the invitation which was extended to her through a Press Release which was sent to her by the organisers of Miss Universe Nigeria to participate in the 2024 edition of the prestigious pageant.
The invitation was revealed in a Press Statement from the National Director of Miss Universe, Guy Murray-Bruce.
Miss Adetshina who is also a model, has returned to her father land to contest as Miss Taraba in the prestigious beauty pageant.
