The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting at Maitama in Abuja has extended the order restricting participants in the hunger protest against the federal government to the MKO Abiola stadium, also known as National Stadium.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji extended the order on Tuesday following an application argued by Ogwu Onoja on behalf of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT who instituted the case.
At the proceedings, non of the eleven defendants was in court and were not represented by any legal practitioner.
After the plaintiff counsel concluded his submission, the Judge in a brief ruling granted the request and affirmed that the order of July 31 remained valid and in force.
He further fixed August 22 for hearing of the motion on notice.
