Abducted Fouani brothers, Abbas Fouani, Youssef Fouani, and Amtal Fouani, and two other people have been rescued rescued on Monday night in Orugbo Iddo, by men of the Marine Police.
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed this development through the spokesperson for the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, The Punch reports.
According to him, the brothers were abducted on June 14 around 6pm in Lagos and rescued on Monday night.
It was also revealed that one of the brothers is the Managing Director of Fouani Nigeria Limited that specialises in electronics and is the sole distributor of LG, Hisense, and Maxi products in Nigeria.
On how they were picked, the three brothers were said to have been returning from their factory by boat when they were abducted.
Hundeyin who commented on the rescue confirmed they have been rescued and reunited with their family.
“Yes five of them were rescued. Three Lebanese, the boat captain and his assistant.
“They were rescued late last night in Orugbo Iddo. Our Marine Police, with the support of the Nigerian Navy, brought them to shore.
“Thereafter, our tactical team in the area took them home on Banana Island in the early hours of today,” he said.
