Crystal Palace thrashed Manchester United 4-0 in the English Premier League at Selhurst Park on Monday.
Two brilliant goals from Michael Olise, one each from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell were enough to give Palace a convincing victory.
Palace, while showing class against the Red Devils, tore apartĀ United’s defence that included Casemiro at centre-back giving room for Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell to also put register their names on the scoresheet.
Interestingly, Palace are still in 14th with 43 points from 36 matches as United remain in eighth place with 54 points from 35 games, two points behind Newcastle in sixth, with their hopes of European football next season fading fast.
Unfortunately, United had several injury absentees and were without Bruno Fernandes, the first time in his 230-game Old Trafford career.
He has missed a match with injury. No doubt, their loss will be a huge concern for everyone at the club.
