The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday defeated host nation, Ivory Coast at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
In the second half, Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong separated the two sides with his superb second-half penalty as the defender scored from 12 yards .
Interestingly, Ekong scored the only goal of the game after VAR cleared Victor Osimhen who had been fouled.
Nigeria move to four points after two games in Group A with Ivory Coast remaining on three.
