The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has died at the age of 67 after a prolonged illness.
Akeredolu was said to have died at early hours of Wednesday at a German hospital where he was receiving treatment.
According to sources, the governor reportedly died of leukemia and prostate cancer.
The Ondo State governor returned to Nigeria in September after embarking on a three-month medical leave in Germany.
Meanwhile, no official statement have been released yet.
