English Premier League club, Chelsea are still reportedly interested in signing Victor Osimhen regardless of an alleged plan of the talented player to move to Liverpool being agreed.
This development comes as there are no signs that the Nigerian international will pen a new contract at Napoli due to the ongoing issues in the Serie A club.
In case a new contract is not signed by the end of the current campaign, Osimhen will have one-year remaining on his contract next summer.
Sources also revealed that Chelsea are going through their options for 2024 and the striker is very high on their list of targets, and they have ‘noted’ the recent issues he has encountered with the Sicilian giants.
So far, there are reports Liverpool have agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old as such however won’t stop Chelsea and other interested clubs from making a move for the player.
Currently, Osimhen is sidelined with the thigh injury he picked on international duty less than a week ago.
He has scored six times in 10 appearances across all competitions for the Partenopei this season.
