The long anticipated Miss Universe Nigeria was held at the Eko Hotel’s Convention Center on Sunday.
The prestigious beauty pageant event started 6pm with the arrival of guests on the Red Carpet, combined with live commentary by one of Rhythm FM’s finest presenter, Debra Waters and the current Miss Universe Nigeria, MBGN Universe titleholder, Hannah Iribhogbe.
Award winning radio presenter, Victory Wilson and Winfrey Agbelese were the hosts for the night as they took over the stage, starting the night’s show with the introduction of guests.
While the show continued, the duo of Debra Waters and MBGN Universe titleholder, Hannah Iribhogbe entertained the audience live updates on what the guests and fans of the event should expect.
The session continued with Social media updates and audience interactions with the livestream of the event for fans who could not make it to the venue.
There were performances from the Society for Performing Arts in Nigeria and others, opening the stage for the 37 delegates to showcase themselves to the audience.
It was a radiant of beauties when the delegates appeared in their swimwears. Earlier, they had shown up with some good dancing styles, traditional costumes with beaming smiles.
A total of fifteen delegates were selected by the judges. The top five were later selected chosen to contest for the coveted crown.
Interestingly, Miss Imo stood tallest as she emerged the maiden Miss Universe Nigeria 2023.
