Miss Imo, Ugochi Mitchel Ihezue has emerged the winner of the 2023 Miss Universe Nigeria which occurred at the Eko Hotels and suites Lagos on Sunday.
She was crowned winner after being selected amongst the first selected 15 delegates, made it to the last five and was finally crowned the winner.
It was a dazzling night that began with beautiful display of colours at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre.
The spectacle of the audience was a special attraction as they glued their eyes to the stage that would later usher in the beautiful damsels.
The maiden edition of the Miss Universe Nigeria 2023 was birthed with 37 delegates contesting to win a single crown. Each delegate represents each state of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
They rolled out in beautiful costumes. Teeth beaming out of the dimming light. They smiled, they danced and exhibited their intelligence to win the hearts of their fans who had been voting since the portal was opened.
The display must have created hectic night for the six judges who sat comfortably to choose the maiden queen. It was a tough call but then a winner emerged after about five hours of scintillating display of beauty, talent and intelligence.
The winner is Miss Imo, who has outclassed the rest 36 to emerge as the Miss Universe Nigeria 2023.
Earlier, there were individual awards, which include; the Most Photogenic
won by Miss Nasarawa: Most Amnity by Miss Borno, Best Traditional Attire by Miss Taraba.
