Talented Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has bagged the Serie A best striker award for the 2022–23 season.
This development was revealed by the organiser of the Italian topflight, Lega Serie A, on their Twitter handle on Friday.
AC Milan forward Rafael Leao and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez were the two players that the 24-year-old beat to win the award.
On his feat at Napoli who their first trophy in over three decades, the Nigerian played a crucial role in club’s Scudetto win, scoring 25 league goals for the Partenopei this season.
As the 2022–23 season comes to a close on Sunday, and Osimhen is set to be named Capocannoniere (top scorer), while his Napoli teammate, Kim Min-Jae, will be awarded the best defender.
