Former Super Eagles head coach, Austin Eguavoen has congratulated the Flying Eagles after the talented players secured a 2-0 win against Argentina on Wednesday night, at the ongoing FIFA U-20 world cup.
Eguavoen who is also the technical director at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was impressed with the performance of the young players at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario, in Argentina.
The first goal was scored by Ibrahim Muhammad, in the 61st minute with a left footed strike inside the box, after a goalless first half.
Talented player, Haliru Sarki got the second goal in in the 92nd minute after he directed the ball into the net with a flying header.
Coach Bosso was also acknowledged by Eguavoen on Twitter as he wrote:
“FIFA duties at the U-20 World Cup in Argentina! Congratulations to Ladan Bosso on reaching the FIFA U-20 World Cup Quarter Final! We keep on soaring.”
The next game for Nigeria will be between the winner of the game between Ecuador and South Korea in the quarter-final on June 4 at the Santiago del Estero.
