The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival is due to take place from 16 to 27 May 2023, as La Croisette host the biggest film stars.
For movie enthusiasts, they are expected to anticipate some scheduled films to premiered at the French event.
They are Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and the highly anticipated blockbuster, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”, while Johnny Depp stars in “Jeanne du Barry,” which will open the festival.
Others on the list are Wes Anderson’s “Asteroid City,” Todd Haynes’ “May/December,” Jonathan Glazer’s “The Zone of Interest,” Hirokazu Kore-eda’s “Monster,” and Alice Rohrwacher’s “La Chimera.”
Meanwhile, “Occupied City” is not left behind as the Steve McQueen film is also set to premiere.
Listed in the shorts section is the Western “Strange Way of Life” from Pedro Almodóvar, starring Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke.
Despite not being in competition for the Palme d’Or, Sam Levinson’s HBO series “The Idol” will also debut.
Going memory lane, “Triangle of Sadness,” took home the top prize, Last year.
As the lineup has been announced, its a fortnight when Cannes becomes the centre of all attention and brings together the greatest figures of the 7th Art.
