Current President of Real Madrid football club, Florentino Perez has expressed interest in Villarreal forward, Samuel Chukwueze and wishes he pitches his tent at the Santiago Bernabeu after the Super Eagles’ star impressive performance against Madrid on Saturday.
This development occurred after the Nigerian scored superb goals for Villarreal in a 3-2 win at the Bernabeu.
According to Marca the Los Blancos have been impressed by the forward, with president Florentino Perez dreaming of having Chukwueze on one flank and Vinicius Junior on the other.
On the status of his current deal with Villrreal, the club may have a decision to make on Chukwueze soon as the attacker is out of contract in 2024.
But Chukwueze at the moment has a buyout clause of €100 million in his current deal, but Villarreal would reportedly be willing to accept half that at the end of the season, Goal.com reports.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that that Real Madrid could be in the market to strengthen their attack in the summer.
With a close look at other options and the advantage the Nigerian may have to get a contract with Madrid, Eden Hazard’s future is also uncertain, with the Belgian struggling for minutes once again at the Bernabeu.
While Marco Asensio is out of contract and Carlo Ancelotti has said he “doesn’t care” if the forward sign a new deal.
Apart from Chukwueze’s superb performance at the Bernabeu, he also has to his credit the feat of becaming the first player to complete seven dribbles in a La Liga match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu (seven out of eight) since Lionel Messi in April 2017 (seven out of 11).
