A former governor of Borno State, Ali-modu Sheriff has had a closed doors meeting with former president Olusegun Obasanjo at his Presidential Library residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

Speaking shortly after the meeting which lasted for over forty minutes the former governor disclosed that his meeting with the former president was private.

Attempt by reporters within the premises to get the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP to speak on critical issues in camera did not yield any result as he refused to give direct response to all questions put to him.

His visit may not be unconnected fast approaching 2023 general elections as he expressed the desire of his party to win at the polls.
