March Protest against the Deployment of Soldiers Foiled

The march organised by the National Action coalition of democratic forces to protest the deployment of soldiers in Lagos State has been foiled by the police.

The march led by eminent Nigerians including Professor Ben Nwabueze, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite and former minister of finance, Professor Kalu Idika Kalu among others started from Alausa area but was disrupted by the police who barricaded the link route to the Gani Fawehinmi park and fired teargas to disperse the crowd.
