Lekki Toll

A new suit has been filed at the Lagos State High Court, challenging the tolling of the Lekki Epe Express Way. 

According to the motion on notice made available by the claimant, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, the defendants include the Lekki concession company, Lagos State Government, the state works management board, attorney general of the state and the Eti-Osa local government council. 

The motion is challenging the tolling exercise in the absence of the alternative route, which the contract agreement specified as the coastal road. It will be recalled that tolling began at the Admiralty Plaza on the 19th of December amid protests. 

No date has been fixed for hearing of the suit.
