Lagos Literacy
Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola has put the literacy level in the state at 80 percent as against the 55 percent in Nigeria.
Fashola made this known at this year’s awards for corporate bodies which have supported schools in Lagos. The governor queried the level of literacy among the youths that does not make them employable, adding that government must provide a new answer to the current problem.
Our correspondent Sulaymon Abdulkareem reports that about fifty individuals and corporate bodies are now partnering with Lagos State government to develop infrastructure in schools.
