Kenya FA - Nigeria's U-17 Team Fielded an Over-Aged Player

A top official of the Confederation of Africa Football, CAF has disclosed that they have received a formal complaint from the Kenya female U-17 team. 

The Kenya Football Federation lodged a petition that Nigeria fielded an over-aged player in a world cup qualifier at the weekend. Nigeria U-17 team, also known as the Flamingoes, defeated Kenya 2-0 in a first round, first leg match on Saturday in Nairobi. Patience Okaenes’ brace in the 27th and 63rd minutes at the Nyayo National Stadium sealed the game for Nigeria.

The Flamingoes featured in the two earlier editions of the Fifa U-17 women’s world cup, in New Zealand and Trinidad and Tobago.
