Bomb Explosions have Rocked Several Parts of Kano

Multi bomb explosions have rocked several parts of Kano, the biggest city in Northern Nigeria, killing scores of people. 

One of the blasts hit the Federal Police Headquarters in the city and two other police stations. Reports say series of gun shots also hit a police building in the east of the city.  

Controversial sect, Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the attacks. The blast is described as one of the group’s largest simultaneous attacks, and its largest assault on Kano State.  Meanwhile, the Kano State government has imposed 24

-hours curfew in the state.
