27th Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame
Amateur boxing action resumed over the weekend at the Mobolaji Johnson sports complex in Yaba, venue of the 27th Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame.
The maiden boxing edition for 2012 saw a lot of up coming boxers thrill boxing fans, but the championship didn’t fire-up until the 6th bout of the evening.
Olaide Bashiru of Star Boxing Club got the crowd to their feet when he stopped Taofeek Layiwola in the 3rd round of their 64kg bout.
In other bouts Rasheed Aremu of Ayetunmobi Boxing Club defeated Mukaila Raufu of Police Club, while Ruth Okeneye of Oluomo Boxing Club got a split decision 2-1 win over Vivian Vincent in the only female contest of the day.
