Aruna Quadri continues break new grounds in the ping pong game, he has now become the first Nigerian and the second African to make the top eighteen ranking in the world.

Quadri climbed two spots to the eighteenth position on the International Table Tennis Federation August ranking released at the weekend.

The Oyo State-born player’s highest achievement comes after his impressive performance at the Australian Open, where he reached the last sixteen of the men’s singles.

Quadri’s new ranking is expected to inspire him ahead of this month’s ITTF Challenge Nigeria Open in Lagos.
