Taylor Swift was the big winner at the Billboard Music Awards last night (May 19), taking home a cool eight prizes.
The 23-year old beat the likes of Justin Bieber and One Direction to the Top Artist gong, as well as winning awards for Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Digital Songs Artist.
Swift also dominated the country categories, after receiving trophies for Top Country Artist, Top Country Song and Top Country Album.
However, Bieber beat Taylor to the Milestone Award, with the 19-year old heartthrob also winning gongs for Top Male Artist and Top Social Artist.
Other big winners on the night included JB's pal Carly Rae Jepsen – who won the Top Digital Song and Top Pop Song awards – and One Direction, who were handed three prizes for Top New Artist, Top Duo/Group and Top Pop Artist.
Rihanna and Gotye also had a successful night, winning four awards each.
Nicki Minaj was also triumphant, collecting awards for Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album.
Legend Prince was also present at the star-studded bash to accept the Billboard Music Icon award, closing the show with a medley of his hit Let's Go Crazy, Edgar Winter's instrumental Frankenstein and Fix Ur Life Up.
Swift, Bieber, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Icona Pop, Selena Gomez and David Guetta all performed at the ceremony, which was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and hosted by Tracy Morgan.
