A British hostage in the Niger Delta has been killed, while three others have returned home safely.
 
The foreign office in London announced this yesterday.
 
The four, who were working with a Christian Medical Charity providing free health treatment in southern Nigeria’s Delta State, were kidnapped on October 13.
 
Ian Squire was killed, while Alanna Carson, David Donovan and his wife Shirley survived the ordeal.

Meanwhile four gunmen have abducted the mother of the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Elizabeth Omotosho.
 
The Chairman, Dr. Mike Omotosho, who confirmed the kidnap of his 71-year-old mother, said she was abducted at her family house on Lobalade Street, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State, between 7pm and 8pm on Sunday.
 
He added the police headquarters in Abuja and Kwara state have been contacted on the abduction
