The Ekiti State Government is to sponsor two urgent executive bills seeking to review punishments for  persons convicted of cultism and related offences in the state to a death sentence, while accomplices like owners of properties being used for such activities will forfeit them and be jailed.
The proposed bill is also seeking that anyone guilty of rape in the state will be sentenced to life imprisonment.
This is coming on the heels of recent cult activities in the state, especially the brutal murder of three persons at the state university.
The State Governor Ayodele Fayose called on the people to cooperate with the state government and security agencies by offering information.
