To ease gridlocks along Apapa axis of Lagos, the Nigeria Railway Corporation now transports containers from Apapa Port to Ebute Metta and Ijoko, an outskirts of Ogun state.

NRC Lagos District Manager, Jerry Oche, said the operations were initiated to ease congestion of articulated vehicles along Apapa Port.

The District Manager also said the shuttle services would be extended to Kajola and Abeokuta axis.

The NRC Director of Operation, Niyi Alli, added that the rail service was available for any organisation or individual, who wants to transport goods from the port to other parts of the country.
