The All Progressives Congress Committee on True Federalism has paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara.
 
The visit led by the Governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai is centred on the need for the party to redeem its pledge on restructuring and devolution of power.
 
The committee is expected to begin national debate on the subject matter on Wednesday

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged the full support of the Federal Government for the military and other security agencies in tackling all forms of crime across the country.
 
The president’s pledge comes via his twitter handle after a meeting with the service chiefs on Tuesday  at the state house in Abuja.

The service chiefs at the meeting include the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant Tukur Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, and Chief of Air staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
 
Also in attendance were the Minister of Defence, Retired Brigadier General Mansur Dan-Ali, and the National Security Adviser, Retired Major General Babagana Monguno, among others.
