Coach Wedson Nyirenda of Zambia and skipper Kennedy Mweene have expressed confidence the Chipolopolo can defeat the Super Eagles in Uyo when the two teams meet on October 7 to take World Cup qualification in Group B down to the final match of the group.

Zambia coach was confident of his team’s chances in Nigeria next month after he achieved a double over Algeria to move his team to second place in the group and they are now only three points behind group leaders Nigeria.

The Zambian team have gone unbeaten in their last seven matches to show they are the team on form.

Their Coach said “Now we will focus on Nigeria. They are a good team and will desperately want a win. But I have a big team who can pick a win and that's what I am planning for”.

Their Goalkeeper Mweene has shared the thoughts of his coach. He said, “The game against Nigeria is all about preparation. I am confident we can win in Nigeria with adequate preparations, like we had (for Algeria).

Zambia lost 2-1 to Nigeria at home in Ndola the last time they met a year ago.
