The Police Service Commission has invited Senator Isah Hamma Misau to appear before its special panel set up to investigate allegations surrounding the retirement letters he obtained from the commission.
The lawmaker had earlier accused the police boss of alleged fraud to the tune of N10 billion.
He has been invited to appear before the panel on Wednesday September 6 to defend the allegation.
Senator Misau is also directed to come with the original copy of his letter of retirement.
Menawhile the 38 senior military officers retired last year by the Nigerian Army have appealed to President Mohammadu Buhari to intervene and right the alleged injustice.
They were recommended for compulsory retirement by the Army Council over allegations of official misconducts.
Their lawyer Abdul Muhammed claimed that they were not subjected to orderly room trial and the officers were not allowed to defend themselves.
