The Federal High Court in Lagos has failed to deliver judgment in the N300 million fundamental rights enforcement suit brought against the Nigeria Police Force by a suspected kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike also known as Evans.

This follows the claim by the police that the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force had not been party to the proceedings and the court could not go ahead with judgment without hearing from both parties.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Abdulaziz Anka adjourned the case till September 5, 2017.

In another development, the Federal Government withdrew the sum of N359.39 billion  from the excess crude account in 2015 to fund the payment of petroleum products subsidy in 2015.

And that’s coming from the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, it says the withdrawal and the expenditure was illegal because it contravened the purpose for which the ECA was set up.

However, for the first time, the government withdrew N98,19 billion  for the three tiers of government after satisfying the conditions.
