Police in Borno have confirmed the death of two persons in a suicide attack at Muna Garage Area in Maiduguri, Borno state yesterday. 
Eleven others were reportedly  injured in the attack. 
A statement by Deputy Police Public Relations Officer , Murtala Ibrahim said a male suicide bomber targeted an armoured vehicle of the Police Special anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and detonated the explosive strapped to his body.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army said 68 Boko Haram insurgents have surrendered to troops in Borno in the last three weeks.
The Deputy Director Public Relations, Theatre Command, Operation Lafiya Dole, Colonel  Onyema Nwachukwu said that the military had intensified campaign through coordinated air and land offensive.
He said that the sustained operations had brought the insurgents to the brink of defeat thereby forcing many of them to surrender.
