The UN Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned Boko Haram terrorists’ attacks in Borno in which many people were killed.
 
The suicide bomb attacks occurred in Mandarari town of Konduga Local Government Area, about 37 kilometres from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
 
The attack occurred at five fifty pm on Tuesday.
 
Mr Guterres called for the prosecution of those responsible for the senseless attacks. 
 
The UN chief extended his deep condolences to the government and people of Nigeria.

The police in Borno said that 16 persons have been killed and 82 others wounded in a suicide bomb attack in Konduga Local Government Area of the state.
 
The Commissioner, Damian Chukwu, confirmed the attack today, stated that the incident occurred at a market at about 5;30 p.m. when three suicide bombers hit the market yesterday.
