Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has directed that six of the sacked 14 commissioners should return to their duty posts with immediate effect.
 
In a statement by the Special Adviser on Public  Communications and New Media Lere Olayinka, the returnee commissioners are those for health, environment, finance and commerce, industry and cooperative.
 
Others are those of Agriculture, Works and Transport.
 
A week ago Governor Fayose announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council, where all the 14 commissioners were sacked and directed to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their respective ministries.

In another development, Governor Nyesom Wike has expressed sadness over the increase in crime rate in the state.
 
The governor who spoke while swearing in Chairmen, Caretaker Committees of 13 local government areas at government house Port Harcourt particularly condemned the renewed wave of kidnapping in Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt and Ikwerre Local Government areas.

The governor directed council chairmen  to work with security agencies in the state to curb crime in their domains.
