An International Group on Vaccine Alliance says about 7, 000 children in Nigeria could die in the next five years because of immunisation deficiency.
The group has urged the Federal Government to increase yearly allocation for the provision of vaccines.
This was the highpoint of the group’s visit to the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma.
In another deveopment, the United Nations Refugee Agency says an estimated 65 million people in the world are refugees, asylum – seekers or Internally Displaced Persons.
Nigeria has more than 180, 000 refugees in neighbouring Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic who fled Boko Haram insurgency.
This is why the Federal Government says it will introduce a National Integrated Strategic Framework for intervention for refugees, migrants and Internally Displaced Persons in Nigeria in the next three months.
