The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public petitions, has commenced investigation of an alleged attack on its leader, Ahmed Lawan. 
 
Two national dailies had reported that Senator Lawan was barred from entering his constituency. 
 
The senate has asked  representatives of the two newspapers to appear before it unfailingly on Wednesday to throw more light on their reports.
 
Earlier in his submission the senate leader accused the two papers of unethical practices.
