The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has advised the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, to “sleep easy” if he is not involved in looting of the Nigerian treasury.

The commission  was  reacting to an allegation by Ekweremadu that the anti-graft agency was plotting to arrest him.
The EFCC said, that the commission does not need a grand plot to arrest and prosecute him if he is found to have violated any law.
“He does not belong in the category of public officers that enjoy immunity from arrest and prosecution, according to the commission.
