Holders of unutilised licences for private refineries could face the revocation of their licences.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu disclosed this at a conference in Houston, United States.

The Federal Government nearly a decade ago granted private licenses to investors but only  Aliko Dangote, put it to use.

Dangote’s 1.3 million Metric Tonnes per Annum petrochemical plant in Lagos is expected to commence operations in the last quarter of 2018.
