President Muhammadu Buhari is asking the National Assembly  to approve his request of $6.926 billion  loan for the reconstruction, rehabilitation of the North east as well as the further construction of railway lines across the country. 

In a letter to  the House of Representatives,  the president said the China-Eximbank had approved request for a loan of $1.231 billion to construct the Lagos-Kano Railway Modernization project while the approval of that of Lagos-Kano, Kano-Kaduna and Lagos-Calabar costing $4.62 billion will soon be received . 
Menawhile, members of the House of Representatives yesterday ordered the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to produce the 2017 budget report allegedly carted away by policemen who raided Senator Danjuma Goje’s house on April 20. 

The lawmakers resolved that the IG must produce the missing document  today. 
Senator Goje raised the matter in  the upper chamber.
