The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has called on the Federal Government to as a matter of national importance rehabilitate prisons across the country.

He said inmates should be given the opportunities that will make them better citizens at the end of their jail terms.

Governor Fayose made the call, while on a routine inspection at the prison in Ado-Ekiti,

However, the state Chief Judge kicked against the planned pardon of some inmates under the governor's perogative.

Justice Ayodeji Daramola, questioned the process adopted by the management of the prison in compiling the list of beneficiary inmates.
