The Federal Government has declared Friday 14  and Monday 17 as public holidays to mark the good Friday and Easter celebrations

Minister of Interior, General Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd)  who made the declaration  enjoined Christian faithful and Nigerians to extend the spiritual benefits of Easter, which are love, peace, justice, sacrifice and kindness to their daily living.‎

General  Dambazau further urged Nigerians to co-operate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari,  in his sustained efforts to build a strong and virile nation.

Meanwhile the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, has refuted  media reports suggesting that President Muhammadu Buhari was ill and that was the reason for his absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting.

The minister said the president was hale and hearty and carrying out other state functions during the FEC meeting.

He said the fact that buhari was not at fec meeting didn’t mean that he was not working.
