The senate has directed its committee on Ethics and Privileges to investigate remarks allegedly made by the Chairman Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay. 
Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’allah, drew the attention of lawmakers to a report in a newspaper, where Professor Sagay was allegedly quoted as saying that the senate is filled with people of questionable character. 

He asked the senate to summon Professor Sagay to identify such senators. 

Meanwhile the House of Representatives is to investigate the payment of N2.8 billion allegedly used in clearing charges on power equipment procured by Federal Government in 2012. 
Representative Jonathan Gaza said the equipment that were granted priority at the time, should have been evacuated within days of arrival, but were abandoned.
