Residents of Ekiti State are calling for an end to the untold hardship meted on them over the disagreement between the State Government and members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, in the state over the re-certification of filling stations in the state. 
At a joint press conference in Ado-Ekiti, the petroleum marketers and members of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG announced an indefinite withdrawal of their services across the state. 
Meanwhile, the State Governor, Ayodele Fayose is maintaining that the state government will not rescind it decisions to revoke Certificate of Occupancy of filling stations under construction and the re-validation of existing ones.
