Senate has described as unfortunate and an obvious mistake the accidental bombing of  Rann Community  in Borno State by the Nigeria Airforce.
 
The Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan drew his colleagues attention to the accidental killing.
 
In his remarks the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu ‎urged the military to apply more caution in the exercise to root out insurgents from the country. 

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives said it would investigate the accidental bombing in Borno  State  by the Nigerian Air Force.
 
This followed unanimous adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by  Muhammed Zoro during plenary.
 
The lawmaker said the legislature regretted the deaths and injuries sustained by the civilians and humanitarian workers.

However, a federal government delegation led by the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived Maiduguri, Borno State on a condolence visit.
 
The government delegation comprised the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Ministers of Defence and Information; Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Air Staff and Chief of Army Staff
 
The team had a meeting with Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State
