The House of Representatives has accepted to comply with the conditions given by President Muhammadu Buhari that details of the  budget be debated on the floor and passed before he can sign the budget into law.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, in his welcome speech said the house “must brace up and work assiduously and conscientiously on the budget.

He said the economy must be the central focus of the house this year, saying the budget remains the major tool to rejig the economy.

Buhari presented over N7 trillion appropriation bill for 2017 to the National Assembly in December.
