Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose says the opposition, APC is bent on removing him from office through the back door.

At a media briefing yesterday in Lagos, Governor Fayose says he has alerted the Chief Justice of Nigeria on the plot to subvert justice.

He alleged that past governors of the state, Dr. Segun Oni and Kayode Fayemi were plotting to remove him from office because he had refused to join the All Progressives Party.

According to Fayose, the two past governors and some chieftains of APC had been begging him to join the party but he had refused.

Meanwhile, the Ekiti State House of Assembly has pledged its loyalty to Governor Fayose.

A statement signed by its speaker berated those he described as faceless group behind the plot.

The assembly denies any loggerheads with the executive.
